Despite the title, Salzburg is actually in Austria and despite common misconceptions, they do say Servus outside of Bavaria. They also say it in Austria!
My friends and I took a FlixBus from Munich, Germany to Salzburg, Austria. It was a very quick 2 hours and cost less than 10 euros! We went really early so we could maximize our time in Austria and the added bonus of bus tickets being cheaper.
Because it was about 8:30am, we started our day with breakfast! It was delicious even though when I tried to swat a fly away from my food, it went into my chai tea!
In the park we found a free open-air concert that was amazing. All I can say is,
are were Alive with the Sound of Music!!!
We wandered around for hours and found great places to look down on the city and out to the mountains!
Half of us were already pretty sunburned by this point!
Then we headed up the hill to the Fortress for a good old fashioned Mozart and Strauss concert.
Beyond the music, this concert is a must
do hear see. You ride a elevator/train thing up the hill with beautiful views. Then, prior to the concert you are able to see the sunset with this breathtaking view!!!
We got home pretty late and rode back to Munich at around 5am so we didn’t have too much time. We made every second worth it, but I cannot wait to go back!
Austria is the most beautiful place I have seen in my entire life and y’all HAVE TO GO!
See you next time I’m in Austria,
