The first thing I wanted to do once I arrived in South Africa was to get up close and personal with the animals, so it was only right that my first activity be a safari. Early Saturday morning we traveled 45 minutes to Schotia private game reserve to take part in one of the most talked about activities in Port Elizabeth. When we got there we were divided into groups, then jumped into the jeep and headed out into the land.

During the trip we saw impalas, wildebeests, springboks, giraffes, and my favorite, ELEPHANTS!!

After dinner, we got back in the jeep and headed out on the night ride adventure, It was pitch-black, so a spot light was used to search out into the fields for animals. After driving around for a while, we finally spotted a lion. At one point, one walked right past our jeep!
