This I got the opportunity to go see two different musicals. Both we were about London and its history. The first one I saw was Hamilton and the second one was SIX. I didn’t know any information about either one of the musicals. Hamilton was obviously based on Alexander Hamilton, which helped George Washington stray away from the United Kingdom to our country of the United States. It was highly ironic that someone people went to the show because it obviously based on an American and building America. The show was amazing and probably the best one I have ever seen. The storyline which was sung the entire time gave me so much insight and details into how America was born and created. Being able to see how much Alexander did for our country, and I didn’t even know anything about him which was crazy. We also got to see the perspective of the United Kingdom’s king, which was hilarious. He got to see that the United Kingdom believed that we wouldn’t be able to run a country and we would eventually be crawling back to them. Overall, the songs were a bunch of different styles and tones. I would definitely recommend if you are coming to London anytime soon to go see Hamilton!
I went to see SIX last night. SIX is based on King’s Henry six wives. I believe that it is a common question of who had it the worst with King Henry in the United Kingdom. Each wife had something to say about their time with the King. The first wife got divorced from him because he was constantly cheating on her. This leads me to his second wife, that they both were cheating on each other. This led King Henry to behead his wife, which was crazy! The third wife died during childbirth because claimed to be truly in love with him. She also gave him his first son. The fourth wife got picked from a painting and when he saw her in person he divorced her since it wasn’t up to his standards. The fifth wife also ended up cheating on King Henry, which caused her to get beheaded. And finally, the sixth outlived the King. She fell in love with someone else but had to get married to the King. It was so interesting to learn about each wife and how this was such an important time in history for the United Kingdom!
