Bonjour! This past weekend I travelled from Barcelona to Bordeaux. Bordeaux was absolutely beautiful and a welcome change of pace from the constant bustle of Barcelona. Every building in Bordeaux looked like it was straight out of a movie, and the city was very pretty and peaceful. Unlike Barcelona, Bordeaux was much calmer and relatively quiet. On our first day we went on a river tour and admired the city from the water. The second day we got the chance to go to Saint Emillion, a nearby town, and see some vineyards. Saint Emillion was an extremely interesting place with a very rich history. While we were there we were able to go into a monolithic church which had been built in the 8th century. So crazy to think that structures which were built so so long ago can still be seen by us today. Following that we toured a winery and walked around the rolling hills of the vineyard. The weekend gave us some much needed rest and relaxation, and by the end of it we were ready to head back to Barcelona! This week we will be traveling to London! Can’t wait!
