One week shy of the one year anniversary of my return from my semester in Berlin, Germany …
Here I am at the airport… again … this time to Klagenfurt, Austria.
… and if you would have told me then that less than a year later I would be swept off again, I would have said you were nuts…
Yet here I am. Life. Am I right?
This trip was a long time coming, but I guess it never really sunk in that I would be back in Europe for a third time.
I mean, hey, I’m certainly not complaining. Europe is by far my favorite of all the continents.
But, to be honest, leaving friends, family, fur babies, familiar atmospheres, regular hangouts and going to the other side of the earth doesn’t get easier.
“Why,” you may ask “do you do it then?”
Because, simply put, adventure is worth it.
Knowing that you will make memories that will last a lifetime, that you’ll see things you never thought you would get to see, meet the most amazing people, learn the most interesting things, and have the most life changing experiences… that makes it all worth it.
Besides, who goes on an adventure to be comfortable and settle back into the mundane, the normal?
This trip is especially adventurous, since this program is new and I’m not 100% sure what to expect.
So let’s start blazin’ that trail and see where it leads us…
